Leading the Change
in the Moving Industry
We can all help to change an industry plagued by fraud, deception, low expectations, poor quality, scary individuals, and poor service.
The moving industry is outdated, un-regulated, and it is one of the leading causes of stress in people's lives. It brings fear, frustration, anger, and generates plenty of emotion just thinking about the process of moving. At Stallion Movers, We are hoping to help move the industry in the right direction. With the Canadian Association of Movers on our team, and a history of outreach initiatives, we are trying to change the perspective of movers.
Throughout our conversations and surveys, what we have discovered is that the main chronic issue is that many undervalue what movers do. It is a difficult job that is undervalued financially, mentally, emotionally, and physically. When moving is undervalued, we are forcing the industry to stay a low-priced pit of anguish and distrust. In North America, many unfortunately do not view blue-Collar workers with the value that they truly bring to society. These workers deserve to be paid fairly and promoted as quality citizens, because often they are doing the jobs that others are not interested in. They want to work with their hands, they are happy to perform physical labour because they were built for it, and in time they will become skilled in their trades.
How can we help change the industry? Start by changing your perspective on movers and other blue-collar workers. View them with appreciation because they are doing what others do not want to. Looking beyond price is another important way to assist in changing the industry, when it comes to booking your movers; "cheap work is not good, and good work is not cheap!" Lastly, thank your movers when they do a great job and leave a great review for that business! If they did do great offer them a tip to show those individuals that you appreciate their hard work.

Professional Movers
Value Index
Stallion Movers has created a "Real Value of Moving" image. It showcases everything that goes into owning a moving company. Not unlike other small businesses, there are a lot of costs associated to running and maintaining a quality business. Every dollar you spend on our service helps to cover these costs, supports our awesome staff and our wonderful community!
Moving is a Trade
Despite the absence of a formal education or program at a reputable college, Moving is a trade. Months of training, hard work, and dedication in required to learn the skills of the trade. Only after thousands of hours or up to a couple years on the job do you really learn all of the tricks, and know how to move like a pro.
At Stallion Movers we start our employees with in-class training, followed by practical training, and finally on the job training. This makes sure everyone starts off on the right foot and ensures that our Relocation Technicians are skilled enough to take what they have learned and start putting it into practice on the job! Only after several months of training do our Technicians begin working with other guys at similar skill levels. Overall, it can take up to a full year before a Technician becomes a Specialist and can be sent out on their own to lead a crew.
